For the past couple of weeks, we’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work on a forward-thinking project alongside a truly amazing bunch of talented and passionate human beings.

Straying away from our typically pseudo-scientific articles, we want to take this moment to celebrate the people, the values, and the vision that have been powerful motivators for us amidst the struggles of working 14–16 hour days, sleep-deprived nights, and restless months.

Not often do you find the opportunity to collaborate on a project that aligns so well with your own values that the work itself becomes a rewarding and exciting experience.

Here’s what we’ve learned so far, so that you too can wake up to the kind of work supported by a community that is just as energizing as (if not more than) your favorite caffeinated drink.

The cliché but underrated power of vision in growth.

Having a clear and singular vision allows you to lay out a direct path and highly targeted approach towards what you’re aiming for.

If you understand completely what your real goal is and are able to consistently communicate that in everything that you do and with everyone journeying with you, then it becomes easier for everyone to contribute in alignment with your vision.

This hyper focus also helps you easily identify which elements are helpful versus the ones that are unnecessary or detrimental to your progress.

Simply put: when you know exactly what you want and why you want it; the when and how you get it will naturally become easier for you and the community that surrounds you.

Next, how do you get people to best support your mission? Understand that values are not just indicators of culture.

Values are a strong driving force for communities to become better aligned with your vision.

When people clearly understand what values you want to bring to the forefront, it becomes easier to resonate with your vision. The vision, much like a destination, turns into a story that people can relate to while the values lay down the path towards it. When people can identify with your narrative, it attracts them to becoming a part of it.

Values solidify communities, uniting them towards a common goal.

In this robust community that we’re grateful to be working with, we are seeing that people are drawn to the vision, before they are compelled to stay and actively support the mission because of the values that are consistently felt in every little piece of the project.

At Conversion Conversations, our vision and overarching goal is to help build genuine communities founded on a culture that helps one another rise up through empathically communicating collective sentiment and strategically creating solutions to make success and information accessible and rewarding.

How about you? What’s your vision?
